About
Welcome to St. Alban's Anglican Church
St. Alban’s Anglican Church is a church where Almighty God is worshiped in ordered dignity, where the Lord Jesus Christ is proclaimed as the great Savior that he is and Judge that he will be, and where the Holy Spirit is making saints out of sinners. We’re a traditional church seeking to follow, in the context of the complexities of the modern world, the two great commandments taught by the Lord Jesus: to love God and to love each other.
The term “Anglican” comes from the Latin word for English. It refers to the way of maintaining the apostolic faith passed down to us through the English tradition chiefly encapsulated in the Book of Common Prayer, a storehouse of Scriptural prayers and services that grounds our shared life in Christ. The Book of Common Prayer shapes our Anglican ethos. We pray what we believe and we believe what we pray. Prayer is at the heart of all that we do and, as such, the Book of Common Prayer serves as the foundation for our worship, ministry, and mission.
We’re a parish of the Diocese of the Western States in the Anglican Province of Christ the King (APCK). The APCK continues the Anglican tradition and upholds and professes the Apostolic and Catholic faith contained in the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, and preserved in the creeds and ecumenical councils of the Church. We at St. Alban’s reverently and joyfully keep this precious treasure of “the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 3).
Whether you’re familiar with the Anglican tradition or not, you’re welcome to join us for worship.
